Ian Cushing, Lord Mayor of Amber

Ian Cushing is the seventh and eldest surviving son of Bleys of Amber (and has the Asgardian ride-along Kvasir, to prove it). He has been the Lord Mayor of the City Amber for many years, and thoroughly enjoys having to mop up after his badly-behaved cousins when they decide to paint the town red.

He is more of an age with King Random than many cousins of his generation, and it is believed that they either grew up together, or Random was still relatively young when Ian came onto the scene.

It is believed that his home world is called Tenterden, and occasionally he returns there to get a break from the Family. On Tenteden, in the past, he has been soldier, spy and journalist. Sometimes all at the same time!

Most recently, he and his wife, Marina, were involved in attempts to stabilise the world of El Dorado.
