Logrus

There are now three varieties of full Logrus in the Aurellis game.

Aurellis Logrus

This is the Logrus that is on the Inside, created by Pater Deorum Roland Helgram. In order to initiate to this Logrus, it is necessary to be a direct descendant of Roland, or for him to be present at the time of initiation, to prevent the Logrus killing the candidate. All initiates of this Logrus become deities in the Aurellian realms, gaining an Aspect over which they get additional power, and becoming heads of a priesthood dedicated to their Aspect. The abilities and power of this Logrus extend throughout the Outside and the Inside, but the Aspect powers will only be felt on the Outside if the deity has either a Handmaiden or an Emissary present on the Outside. This Logrus is manifested in Eboracum, in Yorketown, in Aequor and in Caelum. There are minimum attribite requirements for successful initiation to this Logrus, and failure is fatal. Shapeshift is a requisite for initiation, and if the candidate did not have Shapeshift before initiation, then it will either be forced on them by the process, or they die. There is no period of insanity after initating to this Logrus.

Thelbane Logrus

This is the original Logrus created by Cornelius at the founding moment of existence. Any Cornelian can attempt to initiate to it, and there are no unusual powers beyond the rulebook Logrus abilities that are gained from doing so. There are minimum attribute requirements for initiation, and failure is fatal. Shapeshift is a requisite for initiation, and if the candidate did not have Shapeshift before initiation, then it will either be forced on them by the process, or they die. There are manifestations of this Logrus in Thelbane, in the former Suhuyways, and in Sarrabann at the royal palace (Swayville’s former summer house). The powers and abilities of this Logrus are reduced on the Inside by one level, and it is not possible to travel between the Outside and the Inside with this Logrus. After successful initiation to this Logrus, the candidate will spend a period of between 3 and 6 months suffering from insanity sufficiently seriously to require institutional care.

Animus Logrus

A single manifestation of the newly built Animus Logrus is found on Animus prime. Initiates gain all the normal powers of the rulebook Logrus abilities. Candidates do not have to be of any specific bloodline to initiate, but they do need to have the agreement of the Creator of Animus, either by him attending the initiation, or being in Trump contact with the candidate during the initiation, in order to succeed. Shapeshift is a requisite for initiation, and if the candidate did not have Shapeshift before initiation, then it will either be forced on them by the process, or they fail. There are minimum attribute requirements for successful initiaion to this Logrus. Failure to initiate to this Logrus, for whatever reason, is not fatal – the candidate will find themselves spat out at a location in Shadow drawn from their minds. Successful initiation results in a period of creative / inventive insanity, which lasts a number of days proportional to the psychic strength of the initiate. The powers and abilities of this Logrus are reduced on the Inside by one level, and it is not possible to travel between the Outside and the Inside with this Logrus.
