Duke Randolf was the 4th head of House Jesby, obtaining the position after the death of his father Duke Silas, a death which many commentators attribute directly to Randolf. Upon his own demise, he was returned as a Demon.
Since that time, he appears to have been in a perpetual duel of vengeance with his father, who was also returned as a Demon, and at any given time, Randolf may or may not actually be around, or may have been Banished back to the Demon Realm, due to having been killed again.
