At the Court of King Mandor (14th July 2010 equivalent)

It is hereby announced that it is our intention to revive the use of the formal title of Archduke or Archduchess for the Head of a Major House of Thelbane. This revision will be formalised for all the Major Houses of Thelbane when we declare the results of the assessment of House Karm at the next Lamas festival.

The Consorts, if any, of the Head of a Major House will be accorded the title Duke or Duchess, at an equivalent aristocratic ranking to that of a Head of a Minor House. Consorts of the Head of a Minor House will continue to be accorded the title Duke Consort or Duchess Consort, and be at one level lower in aristocratic rank than their spouse.

The title Prince or Princess remains reserved for children of a ruling King of Thelbane, past or present, who hold no other superior Major House title, and is to be of equivalent rank to the Head of a Minor House.

The individual Houses of Chaos will continue to use the titles of Count and Countess, baron and Baroness, and Lord and Lady, for the family members of their Houses as has been their traditions.

Signed and sealed this day, at His Majesty’s command, by Lord Harold Hendrake, Lord Privy Seal of Thelbane.

Three announcements from Thelbane, early morning 14th July 2010 equivalent

From House Chanicut: Duchess Juno Chanicut formally confirms the expulsion of Duchess Callista and Lady Savannah from House Chanicut. With the newly returned Duchess Hera by her side, Juno stated that this was the beginning of a new age for House Chanicut, and there was no place for relics of past policy or past leadership within this vision.

From House Baines: Duke Edgar Baines announces the end of his marriage to Lady Savannah. By mutual agreement, Savannah will walk away from the marriage without compensation or obligation. As there are no issue from the marriage, there are no further matters to be considered.

From House Karm: Duchess Diana Karm extends a warm welcome to Countess Callista and Baroness Savannah as she invites them to join House Karm. Standing with them at the gates of the Karmways, Diana said “Their heritage within the House is without question, being as Callista is a grand daughter of Faella Karm, and their dedication to personal perfection has been admirably demonstrated in recent days, through their victory over those who had done them wrong.” She then led the two women within the gates, which slammed shut behind them.
