People in the External Empire

Regens George I

The ruler of the External Empire is a career military officer with what is now known to be an excellent pedigree. His battle honours are numerous, particularly in the wars against the Federation.

George only recently learned of his father. He had long known that his mother was the Praefectus Classis Honoured Lady Olivia North, but until the fact that the Emperor Sirius was revealed to be the son of Roland, she had kept the fact that George was a son of Sirius to herself, feeling it would be an unhelpful impediment to the natural progression of George's military career.

The elevation of Casablanca from an outpost world to the capital of an Empire has presented many new and interesting challenges for George, not least being the establishment of a household fitting to the purpose of rule.

Regensia Arnhilde

Arnhilde originally comes from St. James, where she held the title First Daughter of the Midwestern Viking clans. During her time visiting the Empire of Eboracum to train in combat, she met and became enamoured of George, at that time a popular High General serving in the Imperial capital.

Arnhilde herself is young for such a position, but already has battle honours to her name - leading a mechanised Strike force using equipment she had hastily procured herself, Arnhilde repulsed an attack by the Wolfe pack in the early days of Casablanca's new status as capital. Since then she has continued to develop and increase the Strike capabilities of the External Empire, and has been appointed 'Mater Castrorum' (literal translation is 'mother of the baracks') upon her wedding to George.

Commissioner Honoured Duke Graeme Helgram III

Graeme has held a number of positions over the years. A naturally fortunate man, he is the son of Field Marshall Honoured Prince Brian Helgram, the commander of Imperial Strike Legions.

Graeme has always been a natural policeman, with a degree of curiosity that forces him to find the root of a mystery. Most recently this led to his being sent to St. James to run the Special Operations section of the F.B.I., a position he held from June 2007 until January 2009 when he left there to take up the appointment as Commissioner of Casablanca.

In addition to his Imperial duties, Graeme is the owner of a stable of Gladiators and is a well known promoter on the arena fight scene, both in Eboracum and Casablanca. He also runs a business providing specialist custom trained slaves, and is a licensed Mentalist.

At an earlier stage in his life, Graeme was married to Olivia North, the mother of the Regens. A marriage that has been likened to a clash of titans, it degenerated to a battle of wills, before ending in divorce. A recent brief attempted reconciliation betwen them was so disastrous that the Emperor had to intervene, ordering Olivia to return to her fleets on the Inside.

Duchess Leela-May Chambers

The circumstances by which the daughter of the Keeper of the Logrus of Thelbane, Count Jurt Sawall, came to be the lifebonded wife of Commissioner Graeme will no doubt forever remain shrouded in mystery, known only to those who participated in the events. However - the fact remains that Leela-May is now a fixture in the House of Graeme.

Leela-May originates from St. James, where she had a varied career. She has always been a significant shapeshifter, and this helped her to maintain several rock solid identites on St. James, and thus have a number of different careers.

In the identity 'Cyberwhore' she was one of the best computer hackers on the planet. Credited with being the brains behind the wikileaks site, she has neverthless remained silent when asked about the sexual exploits of it's more publically recognised founder. And she would probably know.

In her identity as 'Catgirl' she was a famous S & M performer on the Miami club scene. In her identity as 'Sugar Canes' she was one of the top New York escort girls. In her identity as 'Candy Sweet' she was a much lower class call girl. Leela-May credits the inspiration for all these identities as being tributes to her mother, the famous star from the golden age of porn, Marylyn Chambers.

Honoured Lord Greg Erikson

Greg Erikson is the Chancellor of the External Empire. He is a cousin of the Regensia from St. James, who was discovered by Graeme Helgram III to have incredible head for money and investments. When Greg first came to the Empire he spent a time as a slave for Graeme, and through successful portfolio management, was able to significantly inrease Graeme's personal wealth.

Greg maintains a household where he has three mistresses - a set of identical triplets who also originate on St. James. He does not however, have a wife - a situation that is only legal as a result of him being granted artistocratic title when he was appointed as the External Empires finance minister.

Honoured Lord David Erikson

Another of the Regensia's cousins is the former Minister for Religion. Originally a Lutherian minister from St. James, David spent a short while as a student of magic in the household of Olivia North, and was emboiled in the circumstances of Olivia's failed reconcilliation with Graeme. During that time he was also serving as Minister of Religion for Casablanca.

Having being raised to the aristocracy upon his ministerial appointment, David has subsequently resigned that position and is now living and working at 'Rick's Café Américain', which is a bar and club in the heart of the city. Membership of the Aristocracy is an appointment for life however, so David retains his title and stipend.

Honoured Marquise Kari Arnisdottir

Kari is the Regensia's Chief of Staff, and also happens to be another of her cousins.

She also hails from St. James, where for many years she was estranged from her Viking family, and was to be found in San Fransisco, where she was a Captin in the California Highway Patrol, and a leading member of the San Fransisco Ladies Motorcycle Club. Brought back into the family fold, she has become a staunch supporter of the Regensia, and a force to be reckoned with in the Regens household.

Chief Slave Darla

George has thus far declined to appoint a Chief of Staff, and there fore that role appears to have defaulted to his Chief Slave, Darla. She is the daughter of the Guildmaster of the Imperial Teamsters Guild - Harrington Moorecroft and a well known professional gladiator trainer called Ebony.

Darla has been George's chief slave since long before he rose to the position of Regens. It is believed that she was an NCO in the legions, and then after her term was served she underwent voluntary slavery and immediately entered George's retinue. She remains one of the most dangerous women in terms of combat to be found in the External Empire.

Chief Slave Julia

Julia is another famous slave - in her case she is the Chief Slave of Graeme Helgram III. She is the main force behind his Gladiator stable and his slave training business.

She was a sergeant major in the militia for 25 years, which is where she first met Graeme, but she then was brought up on a manslaughter charge after accidentally killing a burglar just after she got out of the service. She took the Gladiator option rather than a life slavery sentence, and then became a professional dominatrix for a while after she won free from the arena. Circumstances went bad again when she got a nasty damges suit from someone's partner when someone got a bit too mangled in a session - and she ended up back in debt due to the legal settlement. This was the point that Graeme again purchased her from the block, and she has remained with him ever since, even though the settlement debt is long since paid.

Honoured Marquise Cordelia Lyoness

During the period just after the apointment of George as Regens, and well aware that he had just become the most eligible bachelor in the Empire, there was a mad scrambling by many of the old noble families of the Empire to get their eligble daughters to Casablanca in hope that one of them could bring in the bacon. Several of these women, while not managing to win the wedding ring, did manage to demostrate their worth in other areas of life, and some landed External Empire cabinet positiokns.

Cordelia Lyoness was one such. Daughter of the Speaker of the Inside Senate, she was already a successful member of the Guild of Slavers and she has been appointed Minister for Slavery in George's cabinet. This has now made her one of the eligible unmarried artistocratic girls to be found here.

Honoured Marquise Geraldine Westingham

Geraldine is the daughter of the Imperial Archmage and she was one of the participants in the race to land George's hand in marriage. While she didn't land the big prize, she did get the first runner up, in that she has been welcomed into the Regens household as one of his mistresses.

She has also been appointed Minister for Magic in the External Empire. This appointment was the reason she was granted an artistocratic title, and thus the also the reason why she can accept a mistresses ring while retaining her own status as a free person rather than a dependant.

Right Noble Morwenna

The Grey Deity Lucidia, Goddess of Oaths, Pledges and Noble Sacrifices, being a Grey Deity, is not allowed to have temples or properties held in her name. This means that her priesthood have to seek alternative means of supporting themselves. Her High Priestess is the daughter of Graeme Helgram III, and she is one of the free members of his household slave and Gladiator operation. But, let's not forget - she is the High Priestess of a relatively new and unpredicatble deity.
