This individual recently attempted the seduction (read recruitment not just sex) of the daughter of the Archmage of Eboricum. The offer was an inducement to greater power in the arcane arts and an avenue to become more likely to succeed as part of the scrum to get Regens George Helgram to marry them instead of his intended.
This preyed on: Personal Ambition (arcane power, temporal power, sexual power) and ignorance (complete lack of awareness of an Eboricum raised individual for forces more commonly understood in an arcane/religious context on the outside).
The young woman was offered a book of spells for a very modest price which would further her aims and told that more such books would be forthcoming as she mastered the content and studied each one. The books were artifacts of evil exerting a corrupting influence merely through contact and proximity, and contained a progression of spells designed to push the reader into gradual acceptance of ever more unpleasant and immoral acts.
When it became clear that the woman had been alerted to her situation, lessor demons attempted to kidnap the woman in daylight from the streets of Casablanca while in my company and settled on trying to kill us as we tried to get the girl to the sanctuary of Rick’s.
The woman’s house was burned and her servants murdered.
The book was retrieved and destroyed by a servitor of the Light who also undertook to heal some of the damage and injury the woman had sustained as well as my own in defending her.
