The Divine Gregory - protector of mankind, patron of lawyers, friend of defenders

Gregory is the eldest son of Roland and Sian, born outside, before Roland began the construction of Aurellis. When Roland invited him to join the pantheon of Aurellis, he quickly realised that while Roland had arranged for all the momentous things to be watched and guided, he had not looked to the nature of real people. In general, while society conforms through fear of not conforming, nevertheless people will often abuse those who they think they can get away with abusing, and thus he adopted the role of protector of mankind.

Gregory is unmarried, though he has a mistress, and is generally assumed heterosexual. He accepts both men and women into his priesthood. His temples are the refuges of the victims of injustice, and his priests are charged to defend the oppressed. He is one of the more powerful gods, and individual prayers offered to him, even without the hearing of a priest, can be answered, if they are honestly stated and justified.
